South Pointe Junior High School is fully accredited by the Kaizen Education Foundation, which undergoes periodic evaluations by Cognia. Our curriculum is aligned with Arizona’s College and Career Ready Standards. All teachers and paraprofessionals are highly qualified according to the Arizona Department of Education, and our curriculum is designed to also prepare our students for the state assessments.
Beyond Textbooks
Teachers use Beyond Textbooks for curriculum guidance — keeping instruction mapped to the Arizona standards in every core subject.
NWEA — Data-Driven Instruction
We use NWEA (Northwest Evaluation Association) for data-driven schooling. Data is used for standards bench-marking, screening, progress monitoring, skills reporting, and instructional planning.
